Achilles 868 All Season

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • All weather traction
  • Enhanced controllability
  • Fuel efficient drive
  • Comfortable driving experience

OVERVIEW

The Achilles 868 All Season is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.

The tire offers first-rate all weather traction. The asymmetric tread pattern with the all season siping detail and the excellent silica-enhanced tire compound ensure a safer dry, wet and winter weather traction. The wet weather traction and the hydroplaning resistance are guaranteed with the water and slush dispersing ability of the four wide circumferential grooves. The siping detail finds good grip even on snow-covered roads and the driving safety is fundamentally increased.

The model’s controllability is also improved. The asymmetric tread design maintains constant road contact which boosts the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The stabilized tire shape and the faster and more precise steering upgrades the tire’s handling and guarantee a more secure drive. The larger shoulder tread blocks increase the cornering ability and power. They provide additional biting edges during cornering and maneuvering and ensure a safer controllability in such situations. The better handling and cornering ability make the tire easier to control in all weather.

The tire was manufactured with a silica-enhanced tire compound, which improves its road gripping ability. The enhanced road grip takes the driving pressure off the tire, reducing the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure affecting the tire that manages how much energy the vehicle needs to maintain the tire’s motion. The reduced rolling resistance in turn decreases the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of the vehicle, offering a fuel efficient and environmentally friendly tire. The lessened rolling resistance also manages to slow the tread wear rate down significantly, which lengthens the tire’s tread life and usability.

The 868 All Season promotes a comfortable driving experience. The tire structure’s stability and constant road contact enhance the comfort levels greatly. They lower the road vibrations felt in the vehicle’s cabin, making the drive more enjoyable.
